DIABOLIC - CHAOS IN HELL/POSSESSED TO DEATH
You thought they were gone. You thought you were safe. Well stop thinking! No sooner than breaking up a few years back, Diabolic returned with two self-released EPs that have graciously been put onto one disc by the fine folks at Death Gasm, with each one featuring a different vocal talent. This Florida act has been around for well over a decade, and while some other bands from their once-venerable scene have lost their edge, Diabolic continues in their path of relentless, demonic death metal. Hopefully this means a solid future of releases and tours to crush us all. The disc also has a video for the track "Engulf the Enchantress", shot in a band rehearsal space with amps exposed for that total underground feel. In this cesspool of modern metal perpetuated by the mainstreamification of the art, some fine, classic-style death metal is just what the doctor ordered, and this is the band to lead the charge. May Diabolic continue to spread their plague upon mankind for years to come! (FA)
