These guys have been in the game a while. Damn well near a decade, to be exact. With quite the laundry list of releases, Azaghal’s self-named “black terror metal” has now found a happy home on Moribund, a marriage made in godless hell. There’s certainly a ridiculous amount of evil in them Finnish forests, this time around it sounds a bit more polished and sharply produced that what I’ve heard from them before. Is that a bad thing? Why no, they’re still the blasphemous bastards they’ve always been. Ripping fast. Cuts like a razor blade. Short and simple. Darker than pitch. So harbor no doubts, Azaghal haven’t toned down their mean spirit. A little polish adds that extra layer of shine to even the blackest surfaces. You done reading?
