I cannot lie, I was beginning to get a little concerned here that these guys (well "guy", really) were going to flood us with album after album and lose all specialness they once had. Lo, was I wrong. This latest slayer has only two tracks, one over 20 minutes and one more than 16 minutes and interject plenty of mood and atmosphere to quickly quell any doubts about them, er, him. Hey, to me less is more, but it's okay if more is the good kind of more. This is really moody. I hate overusing words, but I mean it here. It doesn't get too fast, but it does pierece the skin slowly and painfully. Dodsferd can curse us with as many alubms as they damn well please, and use me as a sacrifical lamb if they'd so like! (FA)

HORDE OF HEL - BLODSKAM
Well isn't this cute, these guys want to remain all anonymous and stuff as to who they are. Sounds like a "Blodskam" to me! Oh I'm so kidding, relax already! Just when you started to think that Scandanavian metal may be lacking due to overexposure and selling-out and other such foolishness, here cometh a new, refreshing, and kickass dose of black metal mania and industrial-laced lunacy to reassure you. Crushing, doomy in parts, like a hammer striking the perpetual anvil that is you, Horde of Hel unleash Hel and leave no surviviors accounted for. Don't take my words for it, take this 14 song nihilistic plunge your damn self! (FA)

WHAT THE HEL?

New MORIBUND signees HORDE OF HEL are finishing their debut album, Blodskam, which according to the band "will contain 13 songs of despair and hate." Featuring "members from different elite death metal and black metal bands from Sweden," HORDE OF HEL "represents total death, destruction of all life, and the members wish to be anonymous because of extreme lyrics and pictures. HORDE OF HEL is a non-political band, but we'll still hail the tyrants of the old political world [because] of their cause to bring humans to their knees!"
