DVDMANIACS.NET TO GET MAJOR FACELIFT

Some of you may have heard the rumblings... change is afoot and in a big way too. DVD Maniacs isn't going away, but it is definitely changing. AVManiacs will soon be the new home and the new version of DVD Maniacs. The site is undergoing a serious facelift and a complete redesign to better incorporate other types of media. Under the DVD Maniacs we felt limited to only review and writing about standard definition DVDs. Under the new banner we can expand our focus to HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, Print Media, Music and Soundtrack releases, interviews and even video podcasts.

What does this mean for our readers? Simply that, for a short while at least, the avmaniacs.com site will be under construction. Not all the links will work at first and not all the content will be carried over but with some work that will be taken care of sooner rather than later. Until this is remedied, feel free to continue visiting us at the DVD Maniacs url, which we will continue to keep up to date until everything is ready to switch over. Once everything is live on the new site, a url redirect will be put into place.


We are also proud to announce the beginning of an exciting new venture: DVD production! We recently partnered with our good friends at Synapse Films to produce our first ever DVD release entitled 42nd Street Forever Vol 3 : Exploitation Explosion, which features many of Edwin Samuelson's own 35mm trailers, and a commentary hosted by him and Fangoria's Mike Gingold and Film Historian Chris Poggiali. The reviews have been coming in and so far, the advance buzz is nothing but positive.
