THEY SHALL PART THE RED SEA.

Interviews with Holy Moses' vocalist Sabina Classen - supporting their new album Agony of Death - are being scheduled for this Thursday from 12:00 noon - 5:30 PM EST. Interested parties should get phone info and requested times to Earsplit right away for scheduling.

As far as Sabina Classen is concerned, the title of the new Holy Moses album says it all. Agony of Death is the medical term for the death struggle and is also the common denominator of the recording’s lyrics. Musically, Agony of Death features a stylistic review of Holy Moses classics such as Finished with the Dogs (1987) and The New Machine of Liechtenstein (1989), blended with more contemporary influences, complexity and diversity than any previous Holy Moses recording.
More than its predecessors, every single note on Agony of Death gives the listener the feeling that this album is a true band project. Returning to the fold, Atomic Steif (drums) along with Thomas Neitsch (bass), Oliver Jaath (guitar), Sabina Classen (vocals), and guitarist/composer & producer Michael Hankel. This collection of talents have created an album which combines maturity and complexity in equal measure. This album is red-hot thrash metal with Sabina Classen on top of her game bringing her trademark aggression, expression, power, technique, and even the occasional melody. Classen speaks about the recording process: "For the first time in the history of Holy Moses, I had almost six months to record my vocals. This allowed me to work according to my current mood, and the result ranges from hysterical screeches to deep growls."
Agony of Death will be available in a lavish Digipak edition with fold-out cover including 12 songs plus all intros and outros in conceptual order. Look for Holy Moses on the road in North America in 2009.
